Growing up in Crescent City California, the northern most county in California on the coast prior to entering Oregon, everyone seemed to know at least one person who had a connection Sasquatch. Footprints, tree structures, God awful musty scent, scat, bone depositories, horse mane braiding, and yes sightings. In our world Bigfoot was considered a reality, like lots of rain each winter. Sightings were so brief and until drones, cell phone, night vision, heat sensing cameras and trail cams tipped the scales photographic evidence was rare and of poor quality. The Hunting Cabin explores the notion that Sasquatch is in many ways a more advanced being than humans with special gifts, telepathy, able to exist in frequencies other than ours making them invisible to humans. Brought here by extraterrestrial beings when their home worlds were doomed. Many types of Sasquatch: The Ancient Ones, The Pacific Northwest Giants, Swamp Apes, Yeti, Yowie, Almas, Momo... When you consider Sasquatch as a superior being able to use portals, wormholes into other dimensions and allies of ET's able to whisk them to safety it's much easier to understand "The Hunting Cabin."

Kiki Muldoon is obsessed with finding her older sister Shiloh, a field biologist who vanished deep in "old growth" timberland of Southern Oregon, under mysterious circumstances. Kiki gets no help from her colleagues, who suggest Shiloh might have kidnapped herself. Weeks later as Kiki retraces Shiloh's movements electronically, she comes across strange tree structures seemingly woven together in unnatural angles. Scrutinizing the area Kiki finds an extra large decaying cougar paw with very course hair clinging to some of the nails as well. She nearly steps into a huge pile of what appears to be human waste, but much larger in diameter. She tries to bag a sample of the scat, but the smell is overwhelming and doubles her over. Speaking out loud to her self Kiki utters "Jesus, someone needs to eat more plants and less meat."
Feeling the urge to vomit Kiki, drops to her hands and knees and comes face to face with a giant footprint partially covered by leaves. Slowly Kiki Realizes what she has uncovered. After grabbing a few pictures with her cell phone she slowly starts backing away from the scene, but her foot slips on damp moss booting a small metal object before nearly falling. Surveying the terrain Kiki finds Shiloh's cell phone with a dead battery. Turning to vacate the area Kiki spies a broken mass that resembles a destroyed video camera. Digging through more of the camera's remains Kiki finds the San disc and immediately replaces her own with the newly discovered disc. She hurriedly plays the material.
Most of the recording is of landscapes, plants and creatures she came across in her wanderings. We hear a loud cougar growl and the camera is knocked to the ground. Although on it's side it keeps recording and captures a blur of something large rushing through the frame. Screams are recorded as Shiloh fights with her attacker. Out of nowhere a much larger creature is captured moving to join the fight. A new struggle ensues. The cat sounds change from one of domination to pain and just as quickly there is silence except some moaning coming from Shiloh who is severely injured. Then a booming guttural scream is unleashed. Slowly a being fully covered in thick hair wanders into the still recording video frame. His back is to the camera but he must be 8 feet tall. He is joined by a similar creature but much smaller. They seem to be communicating with each other, yet nothing is heard in the recording. The smaller creature turns to the camera and walks over and picks it up. It's a juvenile Sasquatch who points the camera at the larger Sasquatch that is now carrying an unconscious but clearly injured Shiloh. The larger Sasquatch looks up and the camera follows. Out of nowhere a space ship appears. The larger Kiki stops the recording. "Holly shit Shiloh you where right all along. This could make you one of the most famous field biologists of all time. Please still be alive."
