Harmony June Purdy in "Singlewide Pride."

Our latest work on Singlewide Pride has been to animate Harmony June Purdy as she rides around Twilight Mobile Home Park on her skateboard with dad Art Perfect looking on. Watching her play in his old stomping grounds makes Art sentimental for the days when he was a kid and his mom used to push him on the swings. A neighbor reminds Art that his mother thought he was going to take over the world. Though he's fallen short so far, there's still hope for him yet, with Harmony June giving him the motivation he needs to slay his dragons.

EXT. TWILIGHT MOBILE HOME PARK - DAY

Art walks straight, while Harmony circles him on a skate

board.

HARMONY

How long were you and mom hooked

up?

ART

Hooked up? You don’t talk like

you’re nine.

HARMONY

You’re stalling.

ART

Until your mom cut out.

HARMONY

Were you in love?

ART

Maybe. Maybe we were. We were young

but it sure felt like it was true.
